Mylan Classic Update Day 1

The First Day is almost over and the Money leaders are lurking near the top of the  leader board.

Casey Wittenberg is tied for second right now at -6 under par, and he is done for the day.   He is one stroke behind Edward Loar who shot a -7 under par 64.    Casey played well all day and was able to make putts when he got them.

One of the other stories I wrote about prior was Ben Kohles.    Ben finished the first round at -3 and is in contention after day one.

As I roamed the grounds today, the greens seemed a bit slow and it took a few players some time to get used to that.

I followed Darron Stiles for a while, and he struck the ball very well but ran into trouble on the 6th hole where he had a triple bogey.    He had 3 birdies, but off set that with a triple and two other bogies to finish at 1 over.

Some other notables, Lee Janzen through 17 was even.    He struggled with his irons today on the holes I followed him on.   He drove the ball well, but just could not get the ball close enough to take advantage of the course.

Jason Gore had a very up and down round.   He finished at -1 but had 2 double bogies in the round.     That sounds more like something I would do.

Frank Lickliter II finished at 2 over also struggling with the short stick and Paul Stankowski finished at 1 over.
