Jim Furyk Struggles Late, loses WGC Bridgestone For Second Collapse of Season

This makes the second collapse from Jim Furyk this season.   The first was in a major, then yesterday he nets a double bogey on the 18th hole to lose the WGC Bridgestone by a stroke to American Keegan Bradley.    This has been a brutal year for Jim and his fans.   Myself included in that pile of people.

I root hard for Jim and not just because he is from the Pittsburgh Area, but because he is a great player that knows how to win on and off the course.   That said, this year, he has struggled more than I have seen him in the past.   He has really struggled closing out some tournaments this year, which is uncharacteristic  for a guy that plays as steady as anyone in golf.   He is a grinder.   Just not in key situations this season.

This phenomena has been happening to not just Jim Furyk, though.   Many players have been choking up leads late this season.   Evan As recently as the British Open where a large lead was lost to the Big Easy .   So after a season of callapses, what can we expect for the upcoming PGA Championship at Kiahwa Island Resort In South Carolina?    Good question.

I Can’t wait to find out.    I will be laying out my best bets for this weeks tournament this week.   Stay tuned!
