Phil Mickelson, Will He Shoot Under Par Again This Golf Season?

That is the question.   I am not convinced he will.    I am Not sure what happened, but shortly after he had commented about Tiger Woods not regaining his winning touch early in the season, Phil began his slide which has now led to him shooting 10 straight rounds of over par golf.    That is a lot for a guy that is still currently ranked 11th in the world.

Phil is having trouble controlling the driver, not to mention the fact that he has not made a putt since Clinton was in office.   OKAY, that might have been an overstatement, but not by much.   The other reason I think he may not shoot another round this season under par, is because I do not think he is too far away from just shutting it down for the season.   Kind of go back to the drawing board and see if he can get things straight by the beginning of next season.    That 10th round as mentioned happened today in the first round of the Bridgestone WGC.

His round tomorrow will be interesting to follow.  I would not expect him to rebound with a good round tomorrow because it just has not happened recently.   For his career, it would not be out of character for him to shoot a great round tomorrow, but because this game is mostly mental, he has to be a mess up there right now.    Not something you can just fix in one round of golf.
