Kuchar Wins The Players Championship

Matt Kuchar started his 4th round with a bogey but was able to right the ship and shoot a 2 under par 70 for a 2 shot victory today at The Players Championship at Ponte Vedra Beach Florida.

Matt Kuchar was able to do what a few of the other leaders were not today and that was stay out of the water.      He was able to avoid the big mistakes in this final round which went a long way in helping him win his 4 event of his career.

Kevin Na who came into the final round leading shot a 4 over 76 after struggling with the water hazard.       Martin Laird, Zach Johnson, Rickie Fowler, and Ben Curtis all tied for second at 11 under.      The Biggest movers of the day were Bob Estes who shot a day best 65 which moved him from 44 to 15th and Martin Laird who shot a 66 to move him into the top 5.

Other notables, Phil Mickelson finished at -3 while Tiger Woods who shot a 4 under par second round to make the cut finished at -1 for the tournament.     Neither player was able to gain any momentum or make enough putts this week.
